Those who track their time control their time. Those who are not time trackers simply don’t control their time.

Use a planner, paper or electronic. Keep an appointment schedule, list what you plan to attack, then check it off when you’ve completed it. Presto! your in control.

As simple as this sounds, there is method to it and it begins with identifying and controlling your daily activities. In our book Attack Your Day, we discuss five activity management skills. The first skill is choosing. Choosing is the number one skill of activity management and it is critical to maximizing your daily performance.

An activity is anything that we do, it’s a task that been delegated by a boss, a customer request, eating, exercising, making a phone call, email, text message, its a even a thought or emotion that we feel inside.
